Geeta Nizami made her debut with Najam Naqvi’s Panna (1944), where she was cast opposite Jairaj in the leading role. Panna was also the most famous film of her career. She was cast as the leading lady in few other films including Room No. 9 before she was reduced to supporting roles in Gajre, Beqasoor and Hulchul. She left for Pakistan in the early 50s and settled down in Karachi as a married housewife. She never acted in any Pakistani film (as far as I know). She passed away on April 28th, 2008 in Karachi, Pakistan.
