Moon Moon Sen


Daughter of legendary Suchitra Sen and proud mother of two beautiful actresses Raima Sen and Riya Sen, Moon Moon Sen was born to Dibanath Sen, a businessman and Suchitra Sen on 28th March 1948 in Calcutta. 
She attended Loreto Convent, Shillong, Loreto House, Calcutta, Somerville College, Oxford and Jadavpur University, Kolkata. She holds masters degree in Comparative Literature from Jadavpur University. She also learnt painting from popular Indian artist Jamini Roy and great collector of paintings and antiques.
In 1978 she married Bharat Dev Varma, a descendant of royal family of Tripura state. The couple gave birth to two daughters named Raima Sen and Riya Sen, both actresses.
Moon Moon Sen started her career in films and television after marriage and motherhood. She made her debut in Andar Baahar (1984). Her daring role in that film apparently created a storm of controversy. She had also starred in a suspense thriller 100 Days with Madhuri Dixit. After Zakhmi Dil (1994) she did not appear in films until 2003 when she starred in an unsuccessful thriller Kucch To Hai. She could not match success of her mother. She'd acted in a Telugu movie Sirivennela directed by the legendary Telugu director K.Vishwanath.
Before and after entering the film industry, she appeared alone (or with her daughters) in some modelling assignments. She notably modelled for soap ads which were quite controversial in the 1980s. Apart from doing some television serials, she also did couple of Bengali tele-films.
Her film My Karma (2004), directed by Korak Day earned her international praise, as the film received international awards and recognition for her as a "tough and sweet Indian wife, standing as a rock behind her husband".
She is also active in politics, she joined Trinamool Congress in 2014 and contested for 2014 Lok Sabha Polls from Bankura constituency, West Bengal and won.
Pooja bhatt

Pooja was born on February 24, 1972 in the Gujarati-speaking Bhatt family. Her dad's name is Mahesh, and her mom's maiden name was Loraine Bright. After the marriage, her mother changed her name to Kiran Bhatt. Mahesh separated from Loraine and re-married Soni Razdan, an actress in her own right. She has two step-sisters Alia and Shaheen; and one biological brother Rahul. Noted Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi and Film Director, Mohit Suri, are her cousins.Her uncle, late Balwant Bhatt, and grandfather, late Nanabhai Bhatt, both on the paternal side, were popular Bollywood movie directors.
Bhatt made her acting debut at age 17, in 1989 with Daddy, a TV film directed by her father Mahesh Bhatt. In the film she portrayed a soul-searching teenage girl in an estranged relationship with her alcoholic father, played by actor Anupam Kher. Her biggest solo hit and her big screen debut came with a musical hit, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin (1991), which was a remake of the Oscar-winning Hollywood classic It Happened One Night. Pooja Bhatt appeared in many bold shoots like Stardust. Her most well-known films in the 1990s included, Sadak opposite Sanjay Dutt (1991), Junoon opposite Rahul Roy , Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin opposite Aamir Khan (1991), Sir (1993), Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee (1993), Tadipaar (1993), Ghuneghar (1994), Naaraaz (1994) opposite Mithun Chakraborty, Hum Dono, Angrakshak opposite Sunny Deol (1995), Chaahat opposite Shahrukh Khan (1996), Tamanna (1997), super-hit and multi-starrer Border (1997) and Zakhm (1998). Bhatt has also acted in some popular hit regional Indian films.Her last film appearance was in Everybody Says I'm Fine! in 2001. 
She has since focused on producing and directing. She made her directorial debut with Paap in 2004, starring John Abraham and Udita Goswami. Since then, she has made four more directorial ventures: Holiday (2006), Dhokha (2007), Kajraare (2010) and Jism 2 (2012).
She married her long-time boyfriend, Munish Makhija, who is also known as Udham Singh, a host of Channel V and owner of a restaurant in Goa, during the year 2003. She launched her very own production company 'Pooja Bhatt Productions' during 1996 and released 'Tamanna' under its banner. She has also appeared in a documentary titled 'Sunset Bollywood (2005) in which she talks about yesteryear heart-throb Rahul Roy.

Radha Saluja  worked mainly in Hindi cinema and Punjabi cinema, with few Tamil and Telugu movies.An alumna of Film and Television Institute of India, she is known for her films, like Haar Jeet (1972) and Ek Mutthi Aasmaan (1973). In 1972, she appeared in breakthrough Punjabi film Morni (1972). In early 1970s, she appeared as a female lead in numerous film, like Aaj Ki Taaza Khabar (1973), Man Jeete Jag Jeet (1973) and Dukh Bhanjan Tera Naam (1974), Sikh religious films in Punjabi, wherein she was cast alongside Sunil Dutt. She also appeared alongside M.G. Ramachandran in Tamil films, Idayakani" (1975), Indrupol Endrum Vaazhga (1977) and with N. T. Rama Rao and Rajinikanth in Telugu film, Tiger (1979).
In 1981, she appeared in Sazaye Maut by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, to whom her sister Renu was married. This was the full-length remake of Chopra's own diploma film at FTII, Pune, Murder at Monkey Hill (1976). She played the role Anjali Paigankar had in the original film.

Rehana Sultan (born 19 November 1950) is best known for her debut role in the acclaimed 1970 film Dastak which won her the National Film Award for Best Actress. A graduate of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, she is also known for another bold role in the film Chetna (1970), which got her typecast thus ending her film career, despite its promising start.
Born and raised in Allahabad to Bahá'í parents, she graduated from the High School in 1967, and got selected in the same year to study acting at FTII. After she graduated with a sexy role in Vishwanath Ayengar's diploma film Shadi Ki Pehli Salgirah (1967), she got her break in a feature film in Rajinder Singh Bedi's Dastak (1970), making her the first actress from the Institute to land a lead role in the film industry. She won the National Film Award for her role in that film. In the same year she also played the lead role in the film Chetna which was shot in 28 days along with the shooting of Dastak. That film was about the rehabilitation of prostitutes, and her role changed the portrayal of sex workers in Hindi cinema.
Her sexy roles brought her success but also limited her choice of roles in future films. She landed not too many films including Haar Jeet (1972), Prem Parvat (1973), and the famous political satire Kissa Kursi Ka (1977). After starring in Vijay Anand’s Hum Rahen Na Rahen (1984) with Shabana Azmi, she got married in 1984 to writer-director B. R. Ishara, who had directed Chetna.

Zaheera  debuted in the James Bond movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service in 1969. She played the role of an Indian girl named Zara. She made Bollywood movies over the next decade. She appeared in a lead role for the first time in Call Girl (1974), a movie with a controversial theme at that time. She also had roles in Aadmi Sadak Ka and Naukri. One of her hit films was Gambler with Dev Anand, Shatrughna Sinha, Zahida and Jeevan. She has worked in few Punjabi movies as well.
She is often confused with actress Zahida/Zaheeda. She now runs a dating service in UK.

Zaheeda Hussain (born 9 October 1944), commonly known by her mononym "Zaheeda" worked in Bollywood in the 1970s. Born in Mumbai, she is daughter of Akhtar Hussain, who was film producer and son of director Jaddanbai. Her aunt was Bollywood actress Nargis Dutt, and her uncle was character actor Anwar Hussain. She acted in several movies such as Anokhi Raat (1968) with Sanjeev Kumar, Gambler (1971) and Prem Pujari (1970) with Dev Anand. After playing his heroine, she famously turned down the role of playing Dev Anand's sister, in cult hit Hare Rama Hare Krishna (1971), as she found it too bold, a role which was later done by Zeenat Aman and became her breakthrough film. Zaheeda also acted in a DD1 serial Aamrapali (TV serial) in 2002.
